The truth before NANO

Table desk with an old pen and candle

Table desk with an old pen and candle

It creeps in around this time of the year

Something I call the NANO fear

When questions and doubt come to a head

The dancing of characters, the call of the dead

They whisper and beacon and speak in the night

No sleeping or slumber with them I may fight

For sanity is waning and the panic is real

To keep it together and learn how to deal

Their stories be calling

Their names etched in stone

The flowing of words from my mind to their home

The pen and the paper the keyboard they roam

My fingers will channel their tales of their home

So I bow to their summons and answer their call

Submit to their ranting and give it my all

The words will be many

The breaks will be few

For NANO is coming

November is due.
