This I know.

This I know

Know your role, know your place

Whether grounded on earth or floating in space.

Whether hunkered in sorrow or flying in joy,

When you know what you want you are free to explore.

Try this one or that one, go play with the band,

Frolic with the children, listen to the land.

Be open to experience, take life by the horns,

Challenge the stagnation, a new life is born.

Whether summer or winter or the spring or the fall

Put a pep in your step, go play with a doll;

Race against everything or nothing at all

For time waits for no one, so don’t miss the call.

Wake up in the morning or wake in the night

Live in the darkness, sleep in the light.

Be who you want. True to thine own.

For none know your journey from many to alone.

So remember the lesson, the words you once spoke

A point you were making when crossing that mote.

For life is a circle, we come then we go.

I’ll live to my fullest, this one thing I know.

About Ana'Gia Wright

Ana’Gia Wright is a firm believer that reading and writing go hand and hand. A Southerner through and through, she loves her peaches and pecans while curling up with a good book. A master of resourcefulness, her love of research leads her down paths of discovery that touch every aspect of her writing. Her love of reading ignited her passion for writing, leading her to frequently fill page after page with tales of her beloved characters’ adventures. An influence and an adversary, she loves to sprinkle facts about her beloved Georgia throughout her fictional worlds. Sneak peeks of her projects, including those by her alter ego Aziza Sphinx, are always available on her website
